Daily maintenance of bucket teeth
1. Keep them sharp: The bucket teeth on both sides of the excavator generally wear about 30% faster than the middle bucket teeth in the bucket. When the bucket teeth on both sides wear much less than the middle bucket teeth, swap the bucket teeth on both sides and continue to use them, which indirectly increases the service life of the bucket teeth.
Tips: If the bucket teeth in the center differ from the bucket teeth at both ends by 2~3cm, they can be swapped.
2. Pay attention to the excavation operation angle: The bucket teeth should be perpendicular to the working surface when digging down to avoid breaking the bucket teeth due to excessive inclination.
3. Wear of bucket tooth adapter: It is better to replace the tooth adapter after it is worn off by 10-15%. There is a large gap between the bucket adapter and the bucket teeth due to excessive wear, which changes the fitment and the force point of the bucket teeth and the adapter. It will make the bucket teeth break due to the change of stress point.
4. Driving method: Try not to retract the bucket when lifting the boom, and pay special attention to the coordination of the action. Some excavator drivers often use too much force to drop the bucket on the rock when extending the arm and lowering the forearm, which will break or crack the bucket teeth and damage the large and small arms.
